HOH stands for the ‘House of Healing’ because the objective for this project is to create a church / multifunction room. The project is built in the city centre of Jakarta in a rental space within one of the buildings. One of the challenges that come with the room provided is its irregularity – it comes with a very odd shape. The aim is to try to mitigate the space conditions and align with the House of Healing theme, so it is imagined as an embracing, defined arm that surrounds the room. The stage is located in the centre and allows the spectators to surround the semi-circle stage. The distance between the speaker and the furthest audience is not very far, to encourage a sense a closer relationship between the speaker and the audience. The embracing arm itself is represented with a stacking wall and ceiling elements colored with a blue gradient between layers.
