The Ring is a commercial project located at the housing residence in the suburbs of Depok. The objective of this project is to house a commercial/retail shopping mall project to be used as a facility for the surrounding neighbourhood. The location itself is at a quite hilly area with a valley at the center of the site and comprises of low rise buildings, all of which are not more than 4 stories tall. The idea of the finished design is to combine the outdoor facilities for the residence nearby with the commercial program of the shopping mall. ‘The Ring’ refers to the main lobby and circulation located at the centre, which is a semi outdoor space that connects the public entrance to the public outdoor space located in the middle of the project.
